Driving in Rovaniemi
When driving in Rovaniemi, use the right hand side of the road and overtake to the left. Speed limits are 50km/h in built-up areas, 100-120km/h on motorways, and a variable limit of between 80 and 100km/h on other roads. Speed limits are displayed on a round sign with a red circle outline.
In the city centre most on-street parking is chargeable – pay at a ticket machine and then display the ticket inside your car. The rate is 1.40 euro / hour. You can move to a different parking space using the same ticket as long as it has time remaining on it. Separate parking arrangements and charges are in place at the train station and airport.
Credit cards are accepted at most petrol stations.
