On highways, the maximum speed limit is 130 km/h, while on main roads and secondary roads it is 100 km/h and 90 km/h respectively. In urban areas, the speed limit ranges from 50 to 70 km/h and is reduced around busy areas, such as schools.

Paid parking is active from Monday to Saturday, from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm. Several underground parking lots are available in the city center. Blue signs and road markings indicate paid parking areas. White road markings mean parking is free, but the time is limited. Yellow-marked parking spaces are reserved for special vehicles, police, disabled persons, etc. On Sundays and public holidays, parking is often free.

The historic center of Bari is a ZTL () active from Monday to Saturday, from noon to midnight. Only residents or those with a permit can enter this area. This area is monitored by cameras, and entering without authorization results in a fine.

In Italy, almost all highways are toll roads. You can pay in cash or by credit/debit card.

Plan your trips carefully, considering that very few gas stations in Italy are open on Sundays. Those that are open are often closed on Mondays.

Around Bari, you can take wonderful day trips. Along the coast, you will find the magnificent coastal cities of Monopoli and Brindisi, but you can also visit the vast countryside of Puglia, a great beauty waiting to be discovered.

From Bari, there are several interesting destinations to visit by car, including Lecce (150 km), along the southern coast, as well as Foggia (137 km) and Vieste (190 km), to the north.

Just over an hour from the center of Bari, the Alta Murgia National Park offers breathtaking beauty and very diverse landscapes. The territory has various peculiarities, including natural sinkholes, lush green meadows, and ancient paths bordered by stone walls; the presence of different animal species, such as the buzzard, the common owl, and the yellow-bellied toad, make Alta Murgia a magical place to discover. Wander the lands or participate in one of the educational workshops, where the whole family can learn something.

Bari is full of important sites, particularly the Basilica of San Nicola, an exceptional example of Apulian Romanesque architecture. In Bari, the culture of evening outings is very rich: from trendy wine bars and cocktail bars to cozy taverns, with the menu written on the blackboard and a warm welcome. Also, if you visit Bari at the beginning of May, make sure not to miss the Festa di San Nicola, a religious festival celebrating the arrival of the relics of San Nicola di Bari from Turkey.
