Planning a move is a doddle if you follow a few simple steps – here are our

guide to packing a van, to help stow everything safely and securely for the journey.
First time driving a van? Don’t worry, driving a rental van in Bristol is simple as long as you remember a few important points:
Be aware of the height of the vehicle and check it will fit under any structures such as low bridges or car park entrances.
Check your route in advance and make sure it doesn’t include any roads that are too narrow or unsuitable for large vehicles – you may need to look up an alternative route.
You might need more space for turning than you’re used to, so make sure you allow for this when parking and manoeuvring.
Carrying a heavy load can affect braking and acceleration so allow extra space for braking.
Remember that visibility won’t be the same as driving a car – you may be relying on just your wing mirrors if there isn’t a rear view mirror or if the rear view is obscured by your load.
And that’s it, now you’re all packed up and prepared for the journey – bon voyage!
Small, medium and large van hire
We really do have a van to suit you, whatever it is you need to carry, and wherever you’re travelling to.
Small compact vehicles such as the Vauxhall Combo Crewvan are ideal if you just need to collect a bulky purchase and get it home. If you need something bigger, the Ford Custom, Ford Transit and VW Caddy are just some of the options we have available. And for even larger loads, the Mercedes Benz Sprinter or Iveco Daily are just the job. And if you need to carry a few passengers as well, consider a pick-up – the Toyota Hilux can carry up to five people.
